The Google Project Management Professional Certificate culminated in a Capstone project titled Sauce & Spoon. The project had learners assume the role of a Project Manager named Peta at a fictitious restaurant named Sauce & Spoon which was undertaking a project to install tabletop tablet menus for customers to order and pay for their meals through. Each section of this project was peer graded by other learners. Here are some of the tasks I undertook to pass:
-
Analyzed project documents and supporting materials to identify project requirements, evaluate stakeholders, and problems to solve.
-
Developed a project charter with input from stakeholders as a tool to be used to illustrate project goals, deliverables, scope, costs and benefits to stakeholders.
-
Used my negotiation skills with stakeholders to prioritize the project scope and goals as illustrated in the Project Charter.
-
Developed Project Plan by examining project documentation, analyzing stakeholder conversations, and conducting industry research to identify tasks and milestones expected for similar projects.
-
Defined quality management standards and ensured the project meets these standards.
-
Generated evaluation questions from survey questions and recognized how to share qualitative data effectively.
-
Used email etiquette and communication techniques learned in the program to escalate project issues and risks to stakeholders.
-
Demonstrated project impact through effective reporting.
