Who is Val
Valentine 'Val' Kabo Butale is a curious soul always willing to learn new things and explore new frontiers in creative expression. Professionally, I am a Digital Marketer, Project Manager, intermediate graphic designer, and content creator. My creative pursuits have made me a published author, and scriptwriter. I'm passionate about leaving a memorable mark in all I do, and if you trust me with your project or brand, I'll do my best to do the same for you.
Academics
One never stops learning after all. Val's education is made up of:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing (University of Botswana)
- Youth Entrepreneurship (Okavango Diamond Company via University of Stellenbosch)
- Google Project Management (Coursera)
Currently studying Automation with Python via Coursera, and learning even more skills.
Competition Wins
It is always great to be recognized for one's efforts. Over the years Val has entered multiple competitions for the various things he is interested in. From story writing to formulating ideas and presenting them, Val has found recognition for the work he is able to produce.
Charity Work
I have been involved in multiple efforts to give back to the community in both an official and unofficial capacity. I was a member of the University of Botswana Workcamps Association as a volunteer. After my final exam, I initiated a stationery donation campaign to the local SOS Children's Village with the assistance of my BBA Marketing Class of 2014. In 2022 I partook in the A21 Gaborone #WalkForFreedom, a campaign to end Human Trafficking and slavery.
Hobbies
Val enjoys stimulating his senses and feeding his curiosity. When resources allow, there is no food, activity, or travel destination that Val will not readily jump to the opportunity of experiencing. These various experiences have helped enhance Val's creativity, particularly in writing. In 2019, Val's travel experiences won him 1st place in a Tourism Fiction prize and publication in an anthology.
